Advanced Markets offers a standard prime brokerage model where each client has their own credit relationship with a prime broker and uses that relationship to settle trades with either of Advanced Market’s prime brokers, UBS or Standard Chartered Bank.
Trades under this type of arrangement are generally settled under a mutually agreed upon a “4-Party Reverse Give-Up Agreement” or by “Designation Notice” (DN).
In the absence of a PB, Advanced Markets offers a “Prime of Prime” solution where prime broker-type credit is effectively extended to eligible wholesale or institutional counterparts.
With this model, clients can deposit collateral (margin) with Advanced Markets and leverage against the firm’s excellent credit relationships with its prime brokers.
Allows buy-side market participants to execute large trades anonymously, on aggregated, competitive liquidity in a single transaction with a single liquidity provider. This type of order greatly reduces “market impact” thus increasing the possibility of a large sized order being filled at, or very close to, its requested price.
Advanced Markets offers its clients a Safety of Assets solution via a Tripartite Collateral Account arrangement through one of its partner bank relationships. The segregated custody accounts are established to hold client assets as margin collateral.
Under the agreement, the partner bank acts as an intermediary between the client and Advanced Markets, as the secured party, holding collateral in the name of the client for the benefit of Advanced Markets. Collateral movements are instructed by Advanced Markets daily, in order to settle the intraday change in trading account equity
